Building the Next Generation Security Platform
Zerocopter is a global cybersecurity company specialising in ethical hacking, vulnerability management and security-as-a-service. Their marketplace connects organisations with a network of vetted hackers and security researchers, offering services such as bug bounty programs, pentests, recon, and coordinated vulnerability disclosure (CVD). <b>The Challenge</b> Zerocopter's existing security platform had been running steadily, but with rapidly growing demand and emerging product ambitions, they needed to maintain and evolve their current platform while ramping up development capacity to build a new generation frontend — handling complexity, security requirements, and scalable architecture, all without disrupting ongoing operations or compromising security. <b>Our Approach</b> Working with The Coder Room, we took a two-pronged role: managing ongoing maintenance and support of the existing software platform to ensure it remained reliable and secure, while embedding dedicated frontend developers into the Zerocopter team. Our developers collaborated closely with their internal team, contributing to the design and development of the next-generation platform, focusing on building a scalable, maintainable and secure frontend aligned with Zerocopter's high standards. <b>Outcome & Impact</b> The collaboration resulted in ongoing platform stability and uninterrupted service for Zerocopter's clients during development, a modern user-centric frontend laying the foundation for their next-generation security marketplace, and scalable development capacity without the overhead of hiring long-term in-house developers. This strengthened collaboration between business strategy, security needs, and frontend execution perfectly aligns with The Coder Room philosophy of intertwining business goals and technical delivery.
